One of the finest nine-hole facilities in the country, Mooinooi Golf Club is situated in the mining town of the same name near Rustenburg in the North West Province. The course was developed in 1972 by the Platinum Mine that also owns the course as a sporting facility. Thanks to recycled water used in the mining process, Mooinooi has some of the finest kikuyu fairways in the whole of South Africa and its Bent grass greens are almost always in magnificent condition. These lush conditions ensure that the course is seldom overpowered by long hitters, keeping it a fair test for all golfers.
