From the first tee to the 18th green, Greg Norman and his expert team have included extensive bunkering and endeavored to integrate the course seamlessly with its stunning natural surrounds. This par 72 championship course spans over 7 212 metres and is the fourteenth golf course designed by the legendary golfer ‘The Great White Shark’, built in collaboration with the award-winning international developers, Medallist. As is always the case, this Greg Norman-designed golf course is set up to really challenge every golfer on the course and offer a true championship experience. With the vast array of options set up, the wide fairways and the beautiful A1A4 greens (a unique Greg Norman strain), the course offers a fair challenge to golfers of all abilities.
Eye of Africa Golf Estate is home to the first, and only, Gr...eg Norman designed golf course in South Africa. Located in the relatively undeveloped south of Johannesburg, Eye of Africa Golf Club has a real country feel about it with many of the old farm buildings still standing and forming features of the club.As far as the golf course is concerned, Greg Norman has done a spectacular job of using the natural landscape as the canvas for an excellent golf course. Wide and forgiving playing areas are bordered by natural veld grass rough and other vegetation before the houses on the estate come into play. Choose your golf club carefully though, there is plenty of trouble lurking if you miss the generous intended landing areas.Uniquely, this is an out and back golf course with only the 1st tee and 18th green near the clubhouse instead of the start and finish of both nines. It’s a big golf course and its unlikely you’ll be walking this one. Read more
